Project Details
Clemson University’s Women’s Lacrosse Facility stands as a pioneering achievement in collegiate athletics, being the first stand-alone women’s lacrosse facility in the country. The cutting-edge 9,000-square-foot operations complex is part of Clemson’s larger Women’s Sports Expansion project, a 30,000-square-foot initiative overlooking Lake Hartwell. Jack Porter designed spaces that are contemporary and clean, using a modern palette of light wood and cool tones complemented by the Tigers’ vivid brand colors to bring Head Coach Allison Kwolek’s vision to life.
The facility features a dynamic hype tunnel, team locker room, training space, team lounge, coaches’ offices, team meeting room, nutrition area, and athletic training room. This groundbreaking complex, brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Jack Porter, HNTB, and Garvin Design Group, demonstrates Clemson’s commitment to excellence in women’s athletics, providing student-athletes with an unmatched experience while setting a new standard for women’s lacrosse programs nationwide. The thoughtful design seamlessly integrates with the university’s existing athletic facilities while allowing the program to build its own distinct identity within the Clemson brand.
