With a beautifully renovated space in USC’s Russell House University Union, the Leadership and Service Center (LSC) has created a modern open work space from which to assist students in crafting a valuable, well-rounded learning experience centered around leadership growth.
Although the LSC staff had a clear vision for how they desired students to utilize this new venue, they struggled to change existing misperceptions of the student body. To help communicate their values on a large scale, they turned to Jack Porter to create an engaging environment that reflects the spirit of collaboration they want to achieve.
After conducting discovery sessions with both the LSC staff and a student panel, Jack Porter created a plan to visually incorporate the core values into the work areas. Large scale patterns were used to activate the existing white walls. A unique “touch-points” pattern symbolizes themes both of coming together and world outreach. Coordinating entry signage, a custom donor wall, and dimensional lettering all aid in bringing LSC’s mission to life.
